You Asked...We Answered!
“How fit do I need to be?”
Our tours vary in difficulty and are inspired by incredible landscapes, challenge and reward. Backing up 70km+ days can be both physically and mentally challenging. Therefore, we always recommend that you arrive on tour well prepared with a minimum base level of fitness appropriate for the tour itinerary.
“What level of rider do I need to be?”
Whilst our tours are chilled in nature and cater for cyclists of all ages, they are not for beginners.
We also expect that riders can ride safely in a bunch environment.
Most importantly, we are here to Live the Ride safely and take in the beauty that these incredible landscapes have to offer.
“Can I rent a bike?"
Yes, we have service providers in each destination that offer a range of top end bikes appropriate for the terrain. Let us know at the time of booking, so we can get the wheels in motion for you. (With our Morocco Gravel adventure, top end gravel bikes are included for rental as part of the tour package).
“Is there down-time?”
Our cycling tours are not just about the bike. They are about the visitingjamestown lifestyle which understands the importance of downtime and the opportunity to embrace the culture and ambience of the region.
Great food and wine local to the region, sightseeing tours and some R&R, play an important part of our tours.
"Do I need insurance?"
It is a requirement that appropriate insurance is taken out at the time of booking.
“Can I bring my partner who does not ride?”
Absolutely! visitingjamestown encourages and welcomes non-riding partners to attend our tours. Dependent upon the tour and the region, there are an abundance of activities that partners can partake in throughout the tour.
"How does payment work?"
We ask all customers to pay the required deposit when they book, which confirms their reservation. The balance is due 90 days before departure. If you book less than 90 days before departure, we will ask you to pay the full price upfront.
For our Half Day Tours, we ask all customers to pay the full amount when they book, which confirms their reservation.
